I have witnessed Coach Carmichael take girls with little to no skills in basketball and turn them into great basketball players. He gives them the fundamentals needed to be great on and off the court. He checks in on their grades and behavior in the classroom, and helps to make the necessary improvements. I admire his dedication and patience that he gives these girls ensuring that they have what they need to be great at the game of basketball. Continue pouring into our community, Carmichael!!

Hello Da ‘Zena Capers has been playing basketball since the Age of 4 . Coach Carmichael came to one of her rec games when she was in 6th grade . I have known Coach Carmichael since High School. He is a good dude who works with young kids on the regular. He started creations of Destiny nonprofit. The Nonprofit works with young kids through sports and After School programs. He wanted my girl to play on his Basketball team . So, I wanted the best for her, and he let me be on his coaching staff. He got the heart for the kids from practicing all the time to getting them to the games. Taken his money to make them better on and off the court .

Long post alert I met coach Carmichael last year and from the time I met him he’s been nothing but genuine he’s the real definition of from team to family.. he worked with me 24/7 to make sure my girl was secured with everything she had going on from home to school to basketball…this man would literally pick up the whole team at times if he had to just to make sure the girls got to the games and practices when the hard working parents was tied up…I would get so discouraged and aggravated at times when I couldn’t come through for my girl he would be like “you’re a good mom,a good hustler, you’re the best support I’ve seen then most parents stop beating yourself up so much… he would sometime make me feel like the assistant coach 
he would get my opinions and actually utilize them some coaches would just hear and don’t hear see and don’t see they be having their picks but he was for everybody..from AAU ball on up to school ball he has stayed persistent with Bre and has kept a solid friendship with me cause some folks will stick around just for the season but his effort and encouragement has not changed and what I like the most about him is there’s no favorites and he likes to see everybody win just recently I needed to get my girl some new shoes and out of the blue he called me and said “I got my girl those shoes” I know you be working on hard and I just wanted to do the favor 
coach Carmichael is a hard working man and he takes his time up with the kids on and off the court a very positive and pure at heart stand up guy here’s my speech of thank you for all you do and my testimony that you are a blessing to many I’m a true witness keep sewing good seeds coach Carmichael God has many of good things in store for you and it is my prayer that enjoy everything good that comes your way love Brendasia and mom
